Mosque History

Beginning

The Islamic Centre of Oshawa is the first purpose built masjid in the City of Oshawa.  The new masjid was opened for service in June 2012.  Located in the heart of downtown Oshawa, the Islamic Centre of Oshawa was established in the late 1970s as one of the first masaajids in Ontario.  The Islamic Centre of Oshawa is proud to serve a Muslim community growing by the day.

Islamic Centre of Oshawa

The Islamic Centre of Oshawa provides many services for its attendees.  In addition to the five time daily prayers and the Jummuah Sermon and Salah, the Islamic Centre of Oshawa offers evening childrens' Qur'an classes, holds regular programs for adults and youth, both for brothers and sisters, and also provides daily Hadith sessions.  The Islamic Centre of Oshawa actively pursues outreach initiatives, and welcomes members of all faiths and backgrounds to come visit the Centre and learn more about our beautiful religion.
